Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Baseline 9/Baseline CP24-1 Navy ACNT trainer to prepare Fleet Sailors at ATRC, Dahlgren, VA. The role requires extensive Aegis Computer Network experience and instructional expertise in a Navy training environment.

The successful candidate will develop curricula, deliver classroom and lab training, assess student performance, and maintain program records. A SECRET clearance and ACNT/Navy NEC qualifications are required, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience with the required system as a maintenance or operator supervisor in a journeyman-level training environment.
• One (1) year of instructional experience in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum development, learning objective creation, test item preparation, instructional evaluation, and student counseling.
• MUST POSSESS SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
• Must possess ACNT NECs V00C/V69A or V01C/V75A.
• Must possess Navy Instructor NEC 9502 or 805A.
• Travel up to 10% of the time.
• Experience with SCSTC/ATRC/TACTRAGRU is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and conduct classroom and lab training for Fleet ACNT technicians on Baseline 9C.
• Develop, test, maintain, and deliver training programs and materials in support of ATRC objectives.
• Teach approved course content and learning objectives.
• Assess sailors’ ability and provide formal evaluations with recommendations for improvement.
• Review Aegis capabilities and integrate doctrine into training.
• Observe peers during Practice and Certification events per NAVEDTRA 142.
• Prepare and tailor curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides.
• Conduct training sessions and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Maintain records of training activities and student progress.
• Support curriculum updates to ensure relevance.
• Maintain current knowledge of assigned technologies.

Seeking a current and proficient Baseline 9 or Baseline CP24‑1 Navy Aegis Computer Network Technician (ACNT) to train Fleet Sailors at the Aegis Training and Readiness Center (ATRC), Dahlgren, VA.

Prospective employees must have seven (7) years of experience with the Aegis Computer Network / Aegis Weapons System as a maintenance technician or operator, with responsibility for teaching system or functional tasks in an apprentice‑level training environment. Of those seven years, one (1) year must be in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials, assessing instructional results, and counseling students on academic learning problems.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and conduct classroom and lab training for Fleet ACNT technicians on Baseline 9C, supporting maintenance and operation of the Aegis Weapon System.
• Develop, test, maintain, and deliver training programs and materials in support of SCSTC ATRC training objectives.
• Teach approved course content and learning objectives.
• Assess sailors’ ability to perform approved maintenance and operational procedures and provide formal evaluations with recommendations for improvement and methods to maintain technical and tactical proficiency.
• Review and analyze U.S. Navy Aegis Combat System engineering capabilities, limitations, and operational/tactical doctrine, integrating doctrine into training to optimize combat system employment.
• Observe and assess peers during Practice and Certification events per NAVEDTRA 142 requirements.
• Prepare, review, and tailor curriculum lesson plans and instructor guides for classroom instruction.
• Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating training effectiveness.
• Maintain records of training activities, student progress, and program effectiveness.
• Support regular curriculum updates to ensure relevance and accuracy.
• Maintain current knowledge of assigned technologies.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or military experience.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience with the required system as a maintenance or operator supervisor in a journeyman‑level training environment.
• One (1) year of instructional experience in a Navy Training Environment, including curriculum development, learning objective creation, test item preparation, instructional evaluation, and student counseling.
