Job summary

The Lawrence County Career and Technical Center in New Castle, PA is seeking a Secondary Principal to lead our 10-12 grade programs and a staff of certified teachers. This is a 12-month, 240-day leadership role aligned with Act 93 guidelines.

The successful candidate will implement standards-driven instruction, develop a comprehensive master schedule, and drive career pathways while promoting student growth and achievement.

Qualifications

• Must hold a PA permanent or Instructional II teaching certificate or equivalent.
• K-12 PA principal certification required.
• Five years of successful teaching experience.
• Two years of successful building administrator experience preferred.
• Preference for those holding or pursuing director of vocational education certification.
• Strong communicator with experience in disciplinary procedures, special education, staff development.
• Experience creating a secondary master schedule and a vision for career pathways.
• Knowledge of standards-driven curriculum and instruction with a focus on 21st century teaching and learning.
• Skills in data analysis, technology, and communication.

NOTICE OF VACANCY

POSITION: Secondary Principal

QUALIFICATIONS: The Lawrence County CTC is accepting applications for a secondary principal to lead our CTC. Enrollment is approximately 425 students, grades 10-12. The successful individual will lead a staff of academic and vocational certified teachers. This is a 12 month 240 day position. The successful candidate must have a valid PA permanent or Instructional II teaching certificate or equivalent, K-12 PA principal certification, minimum of five years of successful teaching experience. A minimum of two years of successful building administrator experience is preferred. Additional preference will be given to those holding or pursuing a certification for director of vocational education. Candidates must be a strong communicator and have experience with disciplinary procedures, special education, staff development, creating a secondary master schedule, and a vision for career pathways. Candidates should have knowledge of standards-driven curriculum and instruction with a focus on 21st century teaching and learning; strong instructional leadership with demonstrated skills to advance student performance; skills in technology, data analysis, and communication; and working knowledge of standards aligned systems. Candidates must have organizational and collaboration skills for site-based decision making and budgeting, along with strong child-centered instructional leadership skills focused on student growth and achievement.
