Primary responsibilities for this commissioned officer will be to oversee all aspects our secondary program (Grades 6-12). Cumberland Valley School District has two middle schools (Eagle View and Mountain View), a ninth-grade academy (CV9), and Cumberland Valley High School (grades 10-12).
The successful candidate should have demonstrated experience and success leading secondary schools and supporting building-level leadership teams in a complex educational organization. Preference will be given to candidates with successful secondary principal experience and demonstrated strength in organizational leadership, student services, personnel supervision, and systems management. Candidates must possess a Principal certification (K-12, elementary or secondary), a master's degree, and a Superintendent's Letter of Eligibility, though progress toward the Letter will be considered. A doctorate or work toward a doctorate degree is preferred.
