Southco is seeking a Secondary Operator (Zinc Remelt) for 1st shift to run and maintain the Zinc Remelt system and related secondary machinery. You will help produce quality components while documenting productivity and quality issues in a team setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to read work instructions. Safety and quality are emphasized, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Responsabilidades

• Run and maintain the Zinc Remelt system and various machines in secondary areas.
• Ensure quality and quantity of products in a team environment; document productivity and quality issues.
• Maintain housekeeping practices (5S).
• Follow supervisor instructions and flex to areas of constraint; daily tasks as directed by Set Up Operators.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery per set schedule.
• Utilize databases to select proper tooling.

About the role

This position is primarily responsible for running and maintaining the Zinc Remelt sytem. Secondary operator responsibilities include producing quality components from a variety of secondary machinery.

Compensation: $20.00-$23.00

What you will be doing

• Ability to run and maintain the Zinc Remelt system and run various machines in secondary areas.
• The associate is responsible for the quality and quantity of products being manufactured in a team environment. Utilizes business system to document productivity and quality issues.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping practices (5S).
• Perform duties as assigned by supervisor and flex to areas of constraint. Follow instruction from Set Up Operators on daily tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery according to pre set schedule.
• Ability to utilize databases to choose proper tooling.
