Boston Public Schools is offering a stipend BE/ACTT Secondary Mathematics Instructor & Coach opportunity for 2026-27. The role involves designing MTEL prep and providing individualized coaching to aspiring teachers in a supportive, equity-focused program.

Responsibilities include developing a course, mentoring candidates, and coordinating via Google Classroom with BE/ACTT staff, while modeling rigorous mathematics instruction and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s degree.
• Massachusetts Teaching License relevant to the content course.
• Fully licensed and Highly Qualified per state standards.
• Experience facilitating adult learners.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration.
• Authorized to work in the United States by start date.

Responsibilities

• Design and facilitate 15 MTEL prep sessions Sept–Dec.
• Develop course syllabus, instructional materials, assessments.
• Prepare candidates to take the Mathematics MTEL in December.
• Provide individualized coaching and mentoring Jan–May.
• Assist candidates in developing personalized study plans and timelines.
• Maintain attendance records, coaching notes, and progress reports.
• Manage course via Google Classroom, post materials, and gradebook.
• Participate in monthly BE/ACTT planning meetings.
• Communicate MTEL registration, prep, and results with candidates.
• Model rigorous, equitable mathematics instruction.
