Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking an experienced BE/ACTT Aspiring Teacher Coach to support a cohort of candidates pursuing secondary humanities licensure. This role focuses on MTEL coaching, individualized study planning, and resource curation without teaching MTEL content courses.

The position involves one-on-one guidance, progress monitoring, and regular check-ins with candidates to prepare for licensure, MTEL requirements, and registration steps.

Qualifications

• Education: Hold a Master’s degree.
• Massachusetts teaching licensure or eligibility preferred.
• Experience coaching adult learners and guiding licensure paths.

Responsibilities

• Meet regularly with candidates to provide individualized licensure and MTEL coaching.
• Develop personalized study plans and timelines for licensure goals.
• Curate MTEL prep materials and learning resources.
• Monitor progress toward licensure benchmarks and provide accountability.
• Coordinate MTEL registration, scheduling, and post-assessment planning.
• Maintain coaching notes and progress reports for each participant.
• Attend planning meetings with BE/ACTT staff and instructors.
• Communicate licensure requirements and next steps to candidates.
• Collaborate with BE/ACTT team to ensure coordinated support.
