Job summary

Holly Area Schools is seeking a full-time Teacher to lead data-informed instruction, coach colleagues, and support district MTSS initiatives. You will collaborate with building and district leaders to design and deliver high-quality classroom instruction aligned with state standards.

The role emphasizes supporting reading and writing proficiency through evidence-based strategies, professional learning, and ongoing evaluation of student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required; Master’s preferred.
• Secondary Michigan Teacher Certification required.
• Endorsements of BA, BX, BR, BT, and/or BQ preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of successful secondary teaching experience.
• Training in the Science of Reading and Literacy Skills required.
• Instructional Coaching experience preferred.
• Experience with adult learning and professional development design.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student achievement data to identify trends and guide instruction for improving outcomes across the district.
• Coach and support teachers in data analysis and evidence-based instructional strategies.
• Model effective instructional practices aligned with the Science of Reading to improve reading and writing proficiency.
• Visit classrooms to provide coaching, feedback, and facilitate coaching cycles.
• Provide classroom-based support to build teacher capacity in planning, sequencing, and delivering instruction.
• Support curriculum development, audits, and pilot initiatives for alignment with standards and district priorities.
• Coordinate curriculum pilots and monitor progress and outcomes.
• Support MTSS implementation and continuous improvement across the district.
• Assess student learning, monitor progress, and recommend interventions and resources.
