The Delaware Military Academy is looking for a certified secondary physical education and health teacherto join the DMA family starting in August 2025. The ideal candidate will hold a Delaware teaching certificate in both Physical Education and Health Education and have a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the academic, social, emotional and leadership growth of each cadet
• Plan and deliver academic lessons that are aligned with the state standards in PE and health
• Communicate (positively and growth opportunities) with parents on a regular basis
• Maintain grades in a timely manner utilizing our online SIS (Infinite Campus)
• Participate as part of a larger team of academic professionals to ensure the success of our cadets
• Become an integral part of the DMA program through extracurricular activities and professional development
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must hold a Delaware teaching certificate in secondary Physical Education (Health certification preferred). Candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will have experience with developing grade appropriate lessons that meet the needs of varied types of learners. Teachers are expected to work in a professional setting with other grade level and content area teachers.
