About the Team

The TELUS Health Communication & Change Management Solutions team advises clients on communication and change management related to health, pension, and benefits programs. We focus on pension and savings plans, benefits and wellness programs, compensation, absence and disability management, and employee assistance programs.

Role Overview

We seek an experienced communications consultant to own client engagements and contribute to our practice growth. The role primarily involves pension and benefits communication, developing and executing growth strategies, securing new projects, creating communication strategies, developing content, and managing client commitments.

Location

Based in the USA, supporting leading global companies and working with senior HR decision-makers. This role is remote with optional in-person attendance at TELUS Health offices.

Responsibilities

• Identify client communication opportunities proactively
• Implement communication strategies for diverse audiences using various media
• Research and develop communication materials (reports, newsletters, infographics, videos, presentations, microsites)
• Provide consulting and expertise on pension, benefits, health, and total rewards communication
• Participate in and facilitate client meetings and calls
• Evaluate and measure communication effectiveness
• Develop and improve service processes for client solutions
• Coordinate supporting services like design and translation
• Manage budgets and project timelines for successful delivery
• Perform additional tasks and special projects as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Comfort working remotely
• University degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or related field
• Graduate studies in writing/communication (asset)
• At least 5 years of experience in a communication-related role
• Experience with pension, benefits, health, and total rewards communication
• Experience in health communications (asset)
• Experience in consulting or agency work (asset)
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging content
• Strong project management, research, and presentation skills
• Customer-focused with strong business acumen
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail
• Organizational skills, flexibility, independence, and teamwork capability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint
