Job summary

Shelley Joint School District 60 in Shelley, Idaho is seeking a dedicated Secondary Band Teacher to lead instrumental music programs across Hobbs Middle School and Shelley High School. This full-time, 1.0 FTE position requires directing ensembles, developing curriculum, and coordinating concerts, contests, and festivals.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Music Education and a valid Idaho K-12 Music endorsement, with strong conducting and instructional skills, collaborative spirit, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Music Education from an accredited institution.
Idaho Standard Instructional Certificate with a Music K-12 endorsement (or eligibility).
Demonstrated conducting and rehearsal skills; experience with middle/high school ensembles.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver instrumental music instruction for middle and high school students.
Direct Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Pep Band and Jazz Ensemble.
Coordinate and manage seasonal concerts, district/state festivals, and community performances.
Maintain instrument care, inventory, and equipment.
Collaborate with district staff, fine arts colleagues, and families on student progress and events.
