Job summary

MOLARI Employment and HealthCare Services seeks an Industrial Wastewater Technician in Pittsfield, MA. The role supports operation, monitoring, maintenance, and testing of wastewater treatment systems to meet environmental and safety standards.

Second-shift schedule; salary commensurate with licensing and experience. Responsibilities include operating equipment, monitoring processes, performing preventative maintenance, managing chemicals, and maintaining detailed logs.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain/maintain Level II wastewater license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable, punctual with a consistent attendance record.
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment equipment and related machinery (pumps, valves, filters, dosing systems).
• Monitor treatment processes and key parameters (pH, flow, system performance).
• Perform hazardous waste duties including inspections, shipping, and storage-area maintenance.
• Troubleshoot treatment system issues and perform routine/preventative maintenance.
• Handle and apply wastewater treatment chemicals and manage chemical inventory.
• Collect wastewater samples and conduct required chemical/biological testing.
• Maintain logs of operating parameters, tests, maintenance, incidents, and deviations.
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
• Operate the facility's reverse osmosis system and maintain chiller water systems.
• Collaborate with operators, engineers, and supervisors to improve performance.
