Job summary

Tilcon Connecticut Inc. is seeking a Utility Maintenance Operator for 2nd shift at the Wallingford Quarry. The role requires working in a team, adhering to safety standards, and reporting to the Quarry Manager. This is a second-shift position with overtime as needed.

Required: High school diploma or GED. Preferred: trade/mechanical education and maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude. Valid driver’s license and pre-employment checks are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade or mechanical education preferred.
• Maintenance/mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform maintenance on plant equipment and report issues.
• Operate and maintain quarry machinery and small equipment.
• Follow MSHA/OSHA safety procedures and company policies.
• Assist foreperson with daily tasks and project expectations.
• Complete daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
• Be willing to overtime, weekends, and outdoors in varying temperatures.
