Job summary

Tilcon New York Inc. in New Hamburg, NY is seeking a Quarry Maintenance Mechanic for the 3rd shift to safely maintain and repair quarry plant processing equipment, ensuring production meets demand. The role emphasizes advanced mechanical skills and adherence to safety procedures.

The successful candidate will perform routine maintenance, operate or assist with heavy equipment, and may weld and cut metal as needed. Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 3+ years experience.
• Advanced mechanical skills needed.
• Ability to carry out oral and written instructions in a safe manner.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other personnel.
• Ability to read English.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance in a safe, efficient, and timely manner to maximize plant productivity.
• Check and maintain conveyor belts, scrapers, skirt boards, idlers, pulleys, guards and bearings.
• Perform cutting and welding tasks to repair plant processing equipment.
• May operate heavy equipment if needed.
• Wear PPE and be prepared to work overtime as required by supervisor.
