Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to lead a team of professional drivers on the second shift in Albany, NY. The role focuses on keeping deliveries on schedule, safety, and effective route management.

You will coordinate schedules, coach drivers, monitor overtime, and collaborate with dispatch, maintenance, HR, and safety to address operational issues. A strong background in DOT requirements and food distribution is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of transportation, logistics, or distribution experience.
• Supervisory or team lead experience.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements and transportation safety.
• Familiarity with food distribution practices and safety/quality requirements.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English for operational communication.
• Available for second shift and occasional hours, including weekends/holidays.
• Preferred: Class A CDL and current medical card.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate driver schedules, equipment assignments, and daily delivery coverage.
• Resolve route changes, delays, and pickup or delivery needs.
• Coach drivers on safety, service, and performance expectations.
• Monitor overtime, approve time records, and maintain transportation documentation.
• Partner with dispatch, maintenance, HR, and safety teams to address operational and employee issues.
• Use routing tools and operating reports to improve efficiency and delivery reliability.
