Job summary

Reliance, Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk for the 2nd shift in Schaumburg, IL. The role supports shipment and receipt of goods, ensures proper labeling and packaging, and collaborates with carriers and internal departments to maintain accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include preparing shipping documents, inspecting shipments, maintaining records, and using designated software. The position requires forklift operation and safety-conscious warehouse duties.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Basic computer and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (training provided).
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Check products for defects and accuracy.
• Handle incoming and outgoing shipments and verify items physically.
• Post outbound deliveries using designated software.
• Package items securely for shipment and ensure proper labeling.
• Verify serial and batch numbers against product records.
• Pull, pack, and ship finished goods and customer orders.
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments and verify accuracy.
• Record all transactions accurately in the company database.
• Coordinate shipment loading and ensure safety.
