Job summary

Sargent Aerospace & Defense, LLC in Arizona seeks an Inspector II for second shift (Mon-Thu 3:30 pm – 2:00 am) to inspect materials, processes and products, report conformance to quality standards, and support AS9102 first articles. The role emphasizes safety, training and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include in-process/final inspections, receiving inspections, GD&T interpretation, and mentoring junior inspectors; requires ISO9001/AS9100 experience and proficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
• A minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience with mechanical inspection.
• Basic measurement skills using calipers, micrometers, height gages and bore gages.
• Basic GD&T understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Must possess basic math skills and good reading comprehension.
• Basic computer skills; proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Must be able to make decisions, communicate effectively and work with others.
• Must be a team player and self-starter; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections for machine shop and production product.
• Perform receiving inspection on incoming product.
• Interpret drawings, certifications, and military/industry specifications.
• Create and complete first articles to AS9102.
• Train and mentor less experienced inspectors.
• Promote safety as daily priority and ensure quality standards.
