Job summary

RBC Bearings Incorporated in Tucson, AZ, seeks an Inspector II for second shift (Mon-Thu 3:30 pm–2:00 am) to inspect materials, processes and products using precision measuring tools and report conformance to quality standards.

You will read drawings, perform in-process and final inspections, create first articles to AS9102, mentor others, and maintain safety as a daily priority in a ISO9001/AS9100 environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4+ years in manufacturing with mechanical inspection background.
• Experience in ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
• Ability to read drawings and specifications.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, height gages and bore gages.
• Strong math and reading comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and report on materials, processes and products to ensure conformance.
• Perform in-process and final inspections for machine shop and production.
• Conduct receiving inspections on incoming product.
• Create and complete first articles to AS9102.
• Mentor less experienced inspectors and communicate effectively.
