Job summary

Metalcraft of Mayville, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a shift of manufacturing personnel in a plastics shop. You will plan, coordinate, train and motivate team members to meet production goals while sustaining high quality and safety standards.

You will partner with the Plant Manager and other supervisors to implement improvements, manage standard work, and ensure on-time delivery. This role requires hands-on leadership and the ability to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to perform simple math and measurements.
• Ability to maintain a high attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent stooping, bending, squatting, crouching, or reaching above the shoulders.
• Frequent use of hands and wrists on small and large items to service molds.
• Ability to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods.
• Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Ability to mentor and develop direct reports and be willing to provide hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a good understanding of machine function and can troubleshoot problems.
• Keeps work area and equipment clean and follows safety regulations.
• Directs and coordinates team activities with Plant Manager and other Supervisors to meet production goals with high quality.
• Assembles and dismantles molds as part of daily operations.
• Performs mold changes using overhead cranes and rigging.
• Uses feedback from inspectors to drive process improvements and reduce scrap.
• Maintains safe, clean operations and adheres to 6S requirements.
• Documents actions and continually communicates needs across shifts.
• Operates Kronos, SAP, and ADP to record attendance, hours worked, and efficiencies.
