Job summary

JBS Foods Souderton, PA, is hiring for an hourly production employee to support safe, efficient, and sanitary production of ground beef and other meat products. You may be assigned to different production areas based on need and must follow USDA, safety, and sanitation requirements.

Responsibilities include preparing work areas, loading and unloading, monitoring lines, and ensuring product quality. The role requires 1+ year of production experience and a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of production or food-processing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and quality rules and procedures.
• Basic understanding of production processes and equipment.
• Ability to operate knives and machinery safely.
• Ability to lift and handle materials as required.
• Good communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work areas for pre- and post-operational activities.
• Load, unload, and transfer product to/from equipment and conveyors.
• Monitor production lines and replenish packaging materials as needed.
• Sort, weigh, wrap, label, verify, and measure product to specifications.
• Inspect product and packaging materials and remove defects from the process.
• Report to workstation and adhere to schedules and safety policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Set up and tear down equipment and use proper lifting techniques.
• Identify and report safety concerns and equipment issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
