Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a second-shift manufacturing team leader in Greenville, SC. You will oversee all activities of the assigned team, focusing on safety, quality, fulfillment, cost and inventory to meet key metrics and satisfy customers.

You will supervise, coach and develop the team, manage production, scheduling, and costs, drive lean improvements, ensure EHS compliance, and maintain documentation while fostering a culture of accountability and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year manufacturing exp or 5 years manufacturing exp.
• Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach team to meet metrics and uphold Vermeer culture.
• Oversee production, costs, scheduling, shipping, and quality for area.
• Address vendor, supplier, and customer issues via root-cause analysis.
• Lead lean initiatives to improve cost, quality, and safety.
• Enforce safety and EHS scorecard compliance.
• Maintain required documentation for regulations.
• Encourage development and engagement of team members.
