Job summary

Vermeer is seeking a hands-on production team lead to support day-to-day operations and collaborate across departments to improve processes and meet customer demand.

You will guide team members, ensure proper training, and drive continuous improvement using lean principles and MDl board data, while maintaining safety and quality standards. Bilingual Spanish is preferred; no travel required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of manufacturing-related experience is required.
• Must be able to lead others in alignment with company values.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement counter measures.
• Understanding of lean principles and performance metrics (safety, quality, delivery).

Responsibilities

• Model and drive customer-focused teamwork while moving product through the value stream.
• Apply lean principles to support the team and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain MDl board information and communicate countermeasures to the team.
• Ensure proper tools and cross-training to maximize coverage and process support.
• Facilitate training and develop team members to meet EHS scorecard requirements.
