Job summary

Batesville is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead production teams, schedule workloads, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. You will coach 2–50 hourly employees, implement Lean and continuous improvement programs, and partner with other departments to meet deadlines.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience, with strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1–5 years related manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) including charts, graphs, Pivot Tables, and VLOOKUPs
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to train/manage/lead/understand Lean or CI activities
• 3–5 years supervisory experience managing 15–30 employees in a fast-paced manufacturing operation
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing and CI concepts (5S, PFEP, KanBans, VSM)
• Production process trouble-shooting experience

Responsibilities

• Supervise production employees; schedule work and assignments
• Ensure quality and output targets
• Track safety, training, and performance
• Maintain 5S maps and standard work
• Monitor and document accidents, near misses, and corrective actions
• Ensure PPE usage and regulatory compliance
• Analyze work orders to estimate hours and create machining schedules
• Coordinate with other departments to meet customer deadlines
• Lead Lean and CI initiatives to improve methods and efficiency
• Prepare time/production records and manage training, discipline, and staffing
