Job summary

Motrex LLC in Manchester, IA is seeking a second-shift supervisor to oversee direct and indirect staff and production to meet schedules. You will ensure safety, quality and efficiency while controlling costs and enforcing policies.

The role requires leadership in a manufacturing setting, capability to manage shifts, and commitment to adherence to 5S and Quality systems. Responsibilities include training staff, coordinating with maintenance, and driving clear communication.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Assign and monitor production tasks to meet schedules.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Sitting/standing/walking as required in a production environment.
• Exposed to heat/cold and other environmental conditions.
• Occasional weekend/extended shifts may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assign and monitor work to achieve production efficiency
• Direct, train, appraise, develop, and discipline hourly employees
• Assure production meets quality standards and control scrap and rework
• Enforce plant policies and procedures regarding health and safety and the employee handbook
• Assist in establishing and setting up equipment for production jobs or improved processes
• Report and follow through on tooling needs and equipment maintenance problems
• Assure compliance with all plant policies and procedures
• Drive employee communication
• Attend 5S and departmental Quality audits
• Perform other duties assigned by management
