Job summary

The Planet Group in Holstein, IA is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift or floating position (2pm-10:30pm). You will supervise production personnel, train staff, and conduct appraisals and terminations as needed.

Responsibilities include promoting a safe work environment, monitoring schedules, organizing work duties, and ensuring quality at each workstation. Strong communication and leadership across teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years as a Department Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean and MDI knowledge required.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Hire staff and administer corrective actions as part of Production Leadership.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Monitor safety and equipment practices.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of the production team.
• Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals.
• Organize and assign work duties of employees.
• Evaluate employee performance and complete timely appraisals.
• Maintain accurate employee records.
• Inspect product quality at each workstation.
• Ensure machines and equipment function properly.
