John F. Martin & Sons, LLC is a third-generation family-owned meat and cheese producer and distributor with Stevens and Womelsdorf locations in PA.

The Second Shift at the Stevens location seeks a hands-on supervisor to oversee daily production, coordinate staff rotations, and ensure product quality and safety in a fast-paced refrigerated environment. The role requires detailed attention, strong problem-solving, and the ability to train and motivate a diverse team while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods (8–12 hours).
• Ability to push/pull heavy carts (25–1,500 lbs).
• Experience training staff in a fast-paced refrigerated environment.
• Must train employees and supervise daily production.
• Must spot problems and resolve issues quickly.
• Must maintain accuracy and attention to detail and work well in a team.
• Must understand health, safety and basic hygiene rules.
• Must keep CPQ checks and metal detectors records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production activities to keep the line running efficiently.
• Assist staff on the line and cover rotations as needed.
• Train staff in a fast-paced refrigerated environment.
• Print labels, operate machinery, and plan staff scheduling.
• Report machinery breakdowns to maintenance and supervisors.
• Monitor quality control and production standards throughout the day.
• Spot inconsistencies in slice thickness, weights, or tempering.
• Maintain safety, enforce policies, and promote accountability.
• Identify training needs and organize cross-training.
• Be flexible to work in various departments and locations.
