Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a General Laborer for the 2nd shift in Monticello, IA. The role involves reading routing sheets, tracking production, and maintaining a clean, safe work area while supporting multiple shop departments.

Responsibilities include using forklifts to move materials and interpreting blueprints. High school diploma or GED and 1+ year of manufacturing experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year in high production manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read blueprints, specifications and other technical data.
• Capable of basic math operations and measurements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Able to operate a forklift.
• Able to read measuring devices such as tape measures, protractors, and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Read routing and perform work as assigned by department supervisor.
• Track production on schedule boards.
• Notify supervisor of mechanical or material issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform general labor across shop departments.
• Move raw materials with overhead crane and forklift.
