Job summary

Flowserve in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Precision Assembler to prepare, assemble and test equipment, following drawings and work orders. This role involves disassembly and reassembly during repairs, strict attention to quality, and adherence to safety procedures using precision tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, use micrometers and CMMs, participate in CIP activities, and contribute to on-time delivery with a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements and conversions.
• Proven hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of inspection equipment and quality control procedures.
• Willingness to work overtime/ weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
• Demonstrates an advanced understanding of inspection equipment and uses to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Ensure all parts are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies follow procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Operate precision measuring tools (micrometers, vernier, CMM) and hand tools in a warehouse setting.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers.
• Demonstrate a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
