Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. is seeking a Precision Assembler in Baton Rouge to prepare assemblies, follow drawings and work orders, and perform testing as required. You will disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble during repairs, using precision tools and standard procedures.

The role requires strong attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to read blueprints and generate routine reports. Overtime and weekend work may be required to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience with workshop environments and precision assembly.
• Knowledge of automation control and electrical components is preferred.
• Experience as a mechanic for rotating machines or general mechanical work.
• Formal vocational training or related certificate is beneficial.
• HS Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of relevant experience are typical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, including testing as required.
• Demonstrate understanding of inspection equipment and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper assembly per procedures and safety rules.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings; document outcomes and reports.
• Operate precision measuring tools and basic math conversions; support continuous improvement.
