Job summary

Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms seeks a Manager, Plant Operations (Second Shift) to lead milk receiving, processing, packing and support functions. You will supervise supervisors and staff, ensure safety, quality, and cost targets, and collaborate with QA, HR, engineering and supply chain.

The role requires 5–8 years in manufacturing and prior supervisory experience, with strong leadership, planning and communication skills. Travel is limited and compliance with GMPs is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5–8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food/beverage.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of supervisors and operations staff to meet schedules, safety, quality and cost targets.
• Monitor plant operations and resolve operational issues; improve procedures and practices.
• EnsureStandard Operating Procedures are developed and maintained for all operational activities.
• Develop and update plant operations and safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies; communicate interpretations to staff.
• Conduct management meetings to share policies, plans, and job information.
• Prepare for and participate in inspections by USPH, USDA and other agencies.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases as needed.
• Prepare reports for management review.
• Administer discipline and support HR in grievances.
