Job summary

Garelick Farms is seeking a second shift maintenance technician to perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production, packaging, and utility systems. You will read schematics, service manuals, and work orders to diagnose issues and support new equipment installation.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 2–4 years in maintenance/equipment, and experience with electrical/PLC systems; ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Strong teamwork and safety mindset required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade/technical schooling preferred in electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding, refrigeration or plumbing.
• 2–4 years maintenance/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electronic/PLC/HVAC experience in manufacturing.
• Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance/repairs on production, processing, packaging equipment and related utilities following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections for reliability and performance.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and training of operators.
• Complete work orders promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
