Job summary

Garelick Farms, part of Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to keep production equipment running efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and assist with equipment installation while following GMP and safety protocols.

The role requires 2–4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, basic PLC/HMI knowledge, and the ability to read schematics. sign-on bonus and strong benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade school/technical training in electrical, mechanical or related fields preferred.
• 2–4 years experience in maintenance/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/electronic systems in manufacturing.
• Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
• Multi-craft mechanical experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, and packaging equipment and related utilities following safety procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess reliability and performance.
• Read, analyze, and interpret procedures, schematics, manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Support installation of new equipment and assist operators with training and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Document all work orders clearly and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with GMP and sanitation standards.
