Job summary

Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a full-time Outbound Freight Handler in Birmingham, AL (Second Shift). You will load and unload freight, inspect, secure, and route shipments, and operate forklifts and related equipment with proper safety protocols.

Preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, the ability to pass a background check and drug test, and prior dock/warehouse experience. Forklift certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a background check and an alcohol/drug test.
• Preferred prior experience as a forklift operator, dock or warehouse worker, or material handler.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on equipment.
• Prepare, sweep, inspect and clean trailers before loading.
• Weigh and dimension shipments to ensure proper classification and safe handling.
• Block and brace freight to prevent shifting during transport.
