Job summary

Umicore is seeking a Machine Operator for second shift in Quapaw, OK. You will set up, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot manufacturing machines used to produce infrared optical lenses and components.

You will measure dimensions with calipers and micrometers, adjust equipment as needed, inspect final parts and document results, and enter data into the system. A GED or high school diploma is required, and CNC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months of related experience/training.
• CNC experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints.
• Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Finger/hand dexterity to handle small, fragile parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot manufacturing machines for infrared optical lenses/components.
• Measure key dimensions with measurement instruments and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Adjust equipment to maintain optimal operating parameters.
• Inspect final products per customer specs and document results.
• Enter product information into computer systems and maintain records.
• Execute tasks following SOPs, safety and quality requirements.
