Job summary

Walman Optical in Omaha is seeking a Quality Auditor I to inspect production finished products and verify Rx accuracy. Responsibilities include reading Lensometer results, interpreting Rx requirements, and maintaining high production quality.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years of production experience, and knowledge of ANSI eyewear standards. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and on-site work with a comprehensive rewards package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of production experience.
  • Knowledge of ANSI standards applicable to eyewear.
  • Near vision capability to 20/40 with/without corrective eyewear.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and demonstrate excellent skills in reading of a Lensometer and interpreting results.
  • Interpret customers’ Rx requirements and understand production work tickets from lab software.
  • Maintain quality by ensuring First-Quality Rx with respect to cosmetics and alignment.
  • Comply with laboratory and production procedures and safety rules.
  • Serve as quality advisor to production supervisors and lab management.
  • Troubleshoot production issues to maintain quality and service levels.
  • Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
  • Provide training and guidance to less experienced staff.
