Job summary

Industrial Electric Mfg. (IEM) in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a defined production area, coach Team Leads and Operators, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes 100% in-office presence, daily tier meetings, and close collaboration with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance to maintain flow and improve KPIs. Strong people leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, with experience in ERP and dashboards

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field with leadership experience or equivalent.
3-7 years in manufacturing with 1+ year in leadership.
Experience with takt time, standard work, visual management, and daily tier meetings.
Proficiency in ERP, Excel, and production dashboards.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency targets.
Coach and evaluate Team Leads and Operators, enforcing accountability and teamwork.
Ensure adherence to build schedules and takt time; escalate risks to manager.
Monitor metrics (output, defects, attendance, downtime) and lead daily management meetings.
Coordinate with Planning, Materials, Quality, and Maintenance for work center readiness.
Enforce safety protocols, 5S, standard work, and policy compliance.
Support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling with Learning & Development.
Lead/root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality, delivery, or safety issues.
