Job summary

IEM in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Operations Manager to own the end-to-end production value stream, drive performance, and lead a cross-functional team in a 2nd shift operation from 3pm to 11:30pm.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, delivery, cost, and continuous improvement, with Lean principles, 5S, Kaizen, and VSM to optimize workflow, coordinate with planning, materials, and maintenance, and ensure 100% in-office presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing leadership experience (production supervisor, manufacturing manager, or value stream leader).
• Proven track record of improving KPIs (cycle time, FPY, DPU, cost reductions).
• Experience coaching cross-functional teams and driving accountability.

Responsibilities

• Own and monitor KPI performance (OTD, FPY, DPU, safety, cost) within the value stream.
• Oversee daily production activities to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Lead cross-functional teams including production, quality, materials, and maintenance.
• Coordinate with planning and materials to align demand with capacity.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions using Lean tools.
• Drive Lean initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, VSM) across operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues.
• Ensure safety compliance and a culture of zero injuries.
