Job summary

Van Drunen Farms in Illinois is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and facilities.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, repair doors, roofs, and other structures, and collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in maintenance, strong tool use, problem solving, and good communication; high school diploma; English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Bilingual English/Spanish and basic refrigeration knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to support plant operations.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems, building components, and production equipment as needed.
• Complete building and facility repairs, including doors, windows, fencing, roofing, and other structural elements.
• Partner with maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment issues, support production needs, and minimize downtime.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, quality, and production output.
• Collaborate with contractors, equipment manufacturers, and internal teams to support projects and implement process improvements.
