Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is seeking a machine parts operator on the second shift (3pm-12:30am) with a 10% shift differential. The role involves operating and fabricating parts with drill presses, lathes, mills, and CNCs to meet tight tolerances.

Responsibilities include setting up machines, inspecting parts using blueprints and gauges, deburring, and assembling production tools. Maintain safety, quality, and process standards while working independently and in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/trade training or equivalent.
• Two or more years of related machining experience.
• Ability to read engineering blueprints and diagrams.
• Knowledge of machining equipment and safe practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operates drill presses, lathes, mills, saws and shears.
• Operates CNC machines, lathes and mills.
• Cleans machines and work area; deburrs parts.
• Performs kitting of tools, fixtures and raw material.
• Inspects parts per blueprints and gauges; maintains quality via SPC.
• Complies with all laws, regulations and safety procedures.
