Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift to operate, set up and program CNC equipment producing flight hardware. You will manage tools, deburr parts, and perform on/off machine finishing while maintaining high uptime and quality.

You should have 1+ years in CNC machining and the ability to read drawings, with strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork skills. Second shift is 2:45 PM–12:45 AM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 1+ years of experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Operate, setup, and program edit CNC machines and flight hardware to meet program targets.
• Perform precision set-ups on DMG, Niigata and Heller machines.
• Manage cutting tools and ensure proper loading before programs.
• Deburr hardware on and off the machine for quality parts.
• Operate CMM, borescope and perform general part finishing as required.
• Perform weekly and monthly CNC machine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain shop cleanliness, 5S compliance and equipment upkeep.
• Be flexible in a fast-paced environment and support teammates.
• Complete work instructions and test plans, documenting data.
• Propose improvements in machining, fixturing and tooling.
