Job summary

OSI Group Batavia is seeking a Machine Operator for the second shift to operate various machinery in a food manufacturing setting. The role emphasizes following production schedules, maintaining equipment, and ensuring clean, safe operations.

Ideal candidates have 0-1 years of related experience, basic reading of recipes and blueprints, and strong attention to measurement units and specifications. On-site position with full-time hours and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in related field preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and follow a designated recipe.
• Basic understanding of units of measure and their applications.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written specifications, blueprints, or schematics in English.

Responsibilities

• Set up assigned equipment daily according to the posted production schedule and as required based on product specifications.
• Disassemble at close of day for sanitation.
• Monitor equipment operations; troubleshoot basic malfunctions and notify supervision.
• Record data, make adjustments as needed.
• Calibrate systems to time, temperature, and positions of equipment.
• Record and interpret temperatures related to the process.
• Use measuring devices and document product parameters.
• Work with maintenance to implement preventative maintenance programs.
• Notify management if unusual or out-of-spec operations are identified.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with policy.
