Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a Production Specialist II to lead a manufacturing shift. This role is a second-line supervisor responsible for assigning and coordinating work across the department to meet production targets.

You will supervise hourly staff, prepare time sheets and reports, plan assignments for optimal use of resources, and collaborate with Engineering, Materials Control, Quality, and HR to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–10 years of relevant experience required.
• Prior production leadership experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment required.
• 6+ years of leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge and use of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
• Proficiency in related systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Supervising hourly employees, maintaining log of shift operations.
• Preparing daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime, and downtime reports.
• Planning work assignments to maximize utilization of manpower, materials, equipment, and facilities.
• Collaborating with Engineering on methods, layouts, processes, and equipment to improve efficiency and quality.
• Coordinating with Material Control on production schedules and parts, providing schedule feedback.
• Coordinating with Quality Control on quality standards maintenance and interpretation.
• Communicating changes to management that affect production.
• Collaborating with Human Resources on employee relations matters.
• Ensuring compliance with plant rules, safety standards and housekeeping.
