Clean Harbors Weymouth, MA is seeking a Second Shift Lead Diesel Mechanic to supervise daily shop operations, oversee maintenance work, and ensure the fleet complies with DOT standards. You will maintain service and parts records and lead a team on second shift from 12 pm to 8 pm.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of diesel engine experience.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in team environment.
• Versed in electrical, computer, ECMs, fuel, air systems, ABS, hydraulic systems, engines.
• Proficiency in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance of heavy units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day shop operations and supervise maintenance work.
• Ensure fleet DOT compliance and record-keeping for service and parts.
• Perform preventative maintenance and on-site/off-site repairs.
• Complete daily checklists and communicate unit issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and comply with SOPs.
• Conduct safety checks and annual vehicle inspections as required.
• Support management with additional assignments as needed.
