Job summary

Clean Harbors Weymouth, MA seeks a Lead Diesel Mechanic to supervise daily shop operations and ensure fleet DOT compliance. You will oversee maintenance work, maintain service/parts records, and lead diagnostic and repair efforts for heavy‑duty fleets.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of diesel engine experience, DOT inspection exposure, and proficiency with electrical, ECMs, and hydraulic systems. Excellent teamwork and safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of diesel engine experience.
• 1+ years DOT inspection experience.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Team oriented with ability to work in a crew.
• Proficient with electrical, ECMs, fuel, air and hydraulic systems.
• Demonstrated diagnostic, repair and maintenance skills for heavy‑duty fleets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day shop operations and supervise maintenance work.
• Ensure fleet DOT compliance and maintain service/parts records.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose failures.
• Complete daily checklists and communicate issues promptly.
• Conduct safety checks and annual vehicle inspections.
