Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a 2nd Shift Supervisor to manage daily and shift operations in the laboratory. You will oversee staff scheduling, training, competency assessments, and performance evaluations while ensuring adherence to CLIA, CAP and other regulatory standards.

You will collaborate with laboratory leadership to implement policies, quality initiatives, and process improvements to deliver high-quality patient care. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
• ASCP (or equivalent – AMT) registered.
• Experience with CLIA high complexity testing requirements.
• Leadership and personnel management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department operations, scheduling, and workflow.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, accrediting and licensing standards.
• Participate in QA/QC, proficiency testing and competency assessments.
• Develop budgets, monitor supply costs and cost analysis.
• Mentor, coach and train staff to ensure performance and safety.
