Job summary

Ventura Foods in Saginaw, TX is seeking a Spicer for the 2nd shift to gather and pre-weigh ingredients for manufacturing that meets customer requirements. You will work directly with the Foreman and Supervisors.

Responsibilities include following batch sheets, staging ingredients for the mixer, coordinating QA samples, and ensuring proper sanitation and allergen controls. Strong reading skills and knowledge of ingredients are preferred for accurate weighing and packaging.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Must be able to read well.
• Basic knowledge of wet and dry ingredients.
• Understanding of how ingredients interact to affect the final product.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Foreman’s batch sheet instructions for the area.
• Stage ingredients for the mixer and ensure area is clean and sanitized.
• Coordinate with QA for sample transfer and wait for results.
• Maintain allergen control and sanitation in the spice room.
• Identify and locate ingredients, set up weights, and verify scale cleanliness.
• Pack and label pre-weight ingredients with item number and date.
