Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated, a global leader in flavor, seeks a 2nd Shift Technician at its Gretna, Louisiana facility (Zatarain's). The role focuses on weighing spices, following GMP and safety guidelines to support daily production.

Under supervision of Production Manager, you will weigh raw ingredients, record batch weights, maintain cleanliness, and collaborate with team to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds daily.
• Ability to read, write and perform simple math to measure ingredients.
• Must work overtime on weekends as scheduling demands.
• Effective communication and teamwork.
• Able to work in a dusty environment with strong odors.
• Able to bend and stoop.

Responsibilities

• Weighs spices accurately in the weigh-up area using batch sheets.
• Weighs drums of spice and records weights on batch paperwork.
• Ensure weigh-up room operates effectively to meet production needs.
• Perform daily housekeeping in work areas and plant/warehouse areas.
• Operate equipment safely and report problems.
• Follow safety and Good Manufacturing guidelines.
