Job summary

PLZ Corp is seeking an industrial maintenance technician in California to perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance on fillers, conveyors, labelers, motors, and related equipment.

You will install and commission new lines, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, support changeovers, and read blueprints. Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
2–5 years in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude with motors, drives, conveyors, pumps, and filling equipment
Basic electrical troubleshooting incl. motors, sensors, and control circuits
Experience with PLC systems troubleshooting and diagnostics
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred)
Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime, weekends, and emergencies
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety, environment, and regulatory standards

Responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of production line equipment including fillers, conveyors, labelers, motors, and auxiliaries
Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Install, align, and commission new equipment and participate in plant expansions
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement corrective actions
Support changeovers, line setups, and adjustments for optimal performance
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals for repairs
Perform minor fabrication and machining of parts as needed
Troubleshoot basic PLC-controlled systems and interface with controls technicians
Respond to emergency breakdowns, assess safety, and restart operations
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and compliance documentation
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering for continuous improvement
Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
