Job summary

TemperPack is seeking a General Laborer for the 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm) in Lansing, MI. The role supports production, follows safety rules, and helps maintain flow on the line.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior production experience preferred; a valid driver’s license is also preferred. Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand 10-12 hours, and work in hot or cold environments while using PPE for full shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for running production and following safety rules / procedures.
• Able to keep up with the flow of production and minimize downtime.
• Willingness to use band saws, rip saws, baler, and plussing machine.
• Responsible for building boxes with use of tape gun and staple gun
• Willingness to help with inventory at the end of the month.
• Responsible for area safety and housekeeping
• Committed to continuous process improvement and to produce safe and quality products that meet specifications and our responsibility to our customers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
