Job summary

Planet Pharma seeks a Supervisor, Engineering & Maintenance to oversee second-shift engineering, maintenance and calibration for cGMP facilities. This role involves resolving escalations, diagnosing issues in real-time, and leading a team of technicians to keep utilities and equipment compliant and available.

You will apply extensive HVAC, electrical and process utilities expertise, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safe, reliable operations in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Engineering required.
• 5–10 years in BioPharma/Life Sciences required; cell therapy experience desired.
• 3–4 years managing maintenance and calibration functions and personnel.
• Strong background in operation/maintenance of HVAC, boilers, pumps and electrical systems.
• Experience with CMMS (Blue Mountain RAM) and Building Management Systems (Siemens Desigo/Insight).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; valid driver's license; on-call capability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, coordination and support to maintenance and calibration functions.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical and process utilities systems.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Respond to alarms and manage on-call activities.
• Coordinate with external vendors for service/repair.
• Inspect premises and equipment.
• Maintain training and readiness of maintenance technicians.
• Ensure safety of personnel and equipment.
