Process Maintenance Technician, 2nd Shift
Our client is a growing organization operating in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. The Process Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing process equipment and facility utility systems. This role will play a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, supporting production, and maintaining compliance with applicable quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience working with industrial processing equipment, facility utilities, and preventive maintenance programs. Experience in a cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and upgrades on manufacturing equipment, facility utilities, and associated systems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot purified water systems, ensuring reliable operation and compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain facility utility systems, including compressed air, steam, water distribution, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain and troubleshoot liquid processing and blending equipment to support production requirements and equipment performance.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process‑control issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives designed to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, safety, and production performance.
- Perform equipment inspections and identify potential failures or maintenance requirements before they impact production.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and hazardous‑material handling requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely maintenance documentation, including work orders, preventive maintenance records, repair documentation, and safety reports.
- Ensure documentation and maintenance activities comply with cGMP, data integrity, and company quality requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Quality, Engineering, and other functional teams.
- Prioritize and schedule maintenance activities based on production requirements and equipment criticality.
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, shutdowns, and facility improvement projects as needed.
- Provide technical expertise and support during equipment troubleshooting and operational issues.
- Participate in emergency response and after‑hours troubleshooting when required.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical or trade school education, or an Associate Degree in electromechanical technology, industrial maintenance, electrical technology, or a related discipline, preferred.
- 3–6 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and industrial process equipment.
- Working knowledge of purified water systems preferred.
- Experience in a cGMP or similarly regulated manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, specialty chemical, food, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
